How do I book?
You can send me an email or complete the contact below. We can then chat and discuss details and schedule. Then, once you’re ready, I’ll send you my contract and details for the 50% deposit to secure your date.
A few times a year, I will hold mini sessions which you will be able to book directly via a link on my website. These sessions are usually held in the Spring and the Fall.
Is there an optimal time for lighting?
Right before sunrise and sunset are the magic hours for gorgeous, golden light. Does that mean we can’t shoot at 10 a.m.? Nope! We can make any time of day work, but I always recommend avoiding midday for the most flattering light.
What should we wear?
For outfits, I always suggest not overthinking it. Wear something that you love, is comfortable, and that you feel your best in!
For actual practical tips, I say to keep the outfits fairly simple, avoiding logos and any thin stripes (pinstripes can photograph weird and create the moire effect). Other than that, if you want the images to have a cohesive feel without being matchy-matchy, dress everyone in the same color family (pick either cool tones, warm tones, pastels, jewel tones, or earth tones, etc.). Another good way to achieve that is to choose an item of clothing with a print with multiple colors and pull colors from that for others to wear.
How will I receive my images?
You'll receive a link to a digital Pic-Time gallery, where you can share and download your photos as both web-ready and high-resolution images. You’ll want to download your photos and back them up in a safe place (or two). Your gallery will be live for 12 months after delivery. You can also download the Pic-Time app from the App Store for easy access on mobile devices
How many images will I receive?
The more hours I'm with you, the more photos you'll get! But to give you an idea, it’s usually around 25+ images per half hour of coverage.
.
How long does image editing take?
I want to get your beautiful photos back to you as soon as possible! Editing time can vary depending on the number of photos and the type of editing needed. Typically, you can expect to receive your edited photos within 2-3 weeks for standard editing and 4-6 weeks for more complex editing or large photo collections.
I’ll keep you updated throughout the process, and I'm always here to answer any questions you may have!
Can you edit my face/skin/body?
I could, but I won’t. I want my images to be an honest representation of who you are, right now, and that is perfect, just the way you are! I'll happily edit out any temporary blemishes, scrapes, or bruises, but if it’s a permanent part of you, it stays.
“There is one thing the photograph must contain: the humanity of the moment.” — Robert Frank
What if I feel awkward in front of the camera?
Well, you and I both!! Don't worry, I'm here to help you relax and feel comfortable, allowing you to forget about the camera and be in the moment.
I don’t post my child on social media. Can you keep my images private?
Absolutely, just let me know when you book your session.
In addition to this, I will always try to include images of your children with their faces obscured or hidden so you can still post on social media if you wish without including your child’s face.
